Exercise bracelet: the answer!

So, I have had this thing strapped around my wrist for five days. Therefore, I totally qualify as an expert. Over the last five days, I have experimented, put to the test, studied, loved and hated my bracelet.

Remember how I said I was going to come up with a plan: how to crank up 4,000 points every day WITHOUT exercising. Well, are you ready for this? I have been measuring the activities that I include in my daily routine and here is how they rank…

The only way to succeed is by getting rid of the activities that are both time consuming and bringing very little point, while leveraging the ones that are more generously rewarding. Makes sense?!  From now on, no more driving the kids to school. Or driving anywhere for that matter. They can walk, take the bus, bike. I cannot afford to waste precious minutes where I could be collecting points. What? What was that? I hear you say, “Why don’t YOU get on a bike and go with your kids to school?” Ah! Quite simply because I don’t have a bike and I am never buying one: biking does not give you any point. The bracelet is attached to your arm, not your ankle. So biking to school: 0.00 point. Clearly not worth the effort…

I can’t remove blogging or coffee out of my life. So I am going to need an extra burst of activity in order to get all my points.

I have tried many combinations of the above: take five showers a day, dance with Skye for an hour, wave my arm for hours in the evening. And so far, I have NEVER managed to get to 4,000 points. Not even close.

Realistically, I am left with three choices:

1. Lower my target to a  more realistic 1,500 points. NEVER!!! I will not do it. Forget it, not happening…

2. Admit defeat. Yeah, tempting… Just accept that I’ll never make it. Well, I have kind of done that already with myself, but I am trying to maintain the illusion so Stuart thinks I am still working on reaching my goal…

3. Cheat by putting the bracelet on the kids or the pets. Now we are talking!!! I’ll try that and see where it gets me…
